How do I begin?

If you are currently in the hospital and have stayed through 3 midnights, you may qualify for Medicare to cover your nursing home care and therapy for up to 100 days. Medicare may pay 100% up to 20 days.

For day 21 to 100 there is a co-pay. If you have any questions please call us at (210-226-6397). For more information on Medicaid you may call your local Texas Department of Human Services office and ask to speak to a Medicaid Intake Worker or call the River City Care Center at 210-226-6397 and we will be happy to assist you.

If you are planning to pay on private pay basis please call us for our rates. You will be surprised how affordable our rates are compared to other facilities. If you have insurance and are unsure if it will cover a nursing home stay, please call and we will assist you in finding out.

We are dedicated to caring for people. We want to assist you in any way we can and we believe we have the best home around.

If you are coming from home and you are on Medicaid your doctor, or our medical director may admit you. It is as simple as applying for a change from regular Medicaid to Nursing Home Medicaid. Nursing Home Medicaid may cover 100% of your nursing home stay after your applied income is applied. You must qualify medically and financially to be eligible for Nursing Home Medicaid. if you need placement for a spouse and you are dependent on their income you may be eligible for Spousal Impoverishment benefits, which allows you to continue to receive benefits while your spouse is in the nursing home.
